Dessert First - Peanut Butter Crispy Rice Treats
Snoops gets very excited when I make things with sugar. Silly dog. While this did taste good, I feel that it wasn't all too healthy. While the ingredients were fine, there was a ton of honey in here. I would recommend making it with less honey, but then it might not hold its bar shape.
Breakfast - Slow Cooker Banana Nut Oatmeal
I'll be truthful here - this stuff was nasty. I just put the rest of it down the disposal :( Sadly, I doubled the recipe for the whole week. It made a ton and it did not stay too well in the fridge. If I were trying it again, I would wait till serving to add the banana and walnuts. Steel cut oats are not really my thing..
5 Minute Wonton Soup
First and foremost, this did not take 5 minutes! It was amazing though!! I threw a ton of kale in here and it was still amazing. My dinner guests were happy as well ;)
Soba Noodle Salad
This was awesome!!! I love me some soba noodles :)
Fried Eggs with Cheesy Brown Rice and Salsa
This was good too. I am starting to like the comforting taste of rice, beans, cheese and salsa. Rice cooker is loving these meals too.
Slow Cooker Chicken Tikka Masala
Yes, you read that right...I bought a chicken. A $10 chicken from Whole Foods.
I love love LOVE Indian food. This was amazingly good, and I was sad I had to leave early the next day and not eat leftovers!! Served with a side of cucumber yogurt raita.
Quinoa with Acorn Squash, Apples and Walnuts
Tasty and healthy! Best of both worlds!
We had a pretty hectic week, which ended in me leaving to Michigan Tech for the Society of Women Engineers Region H Conference.
On Monday, we attended ASSEMBLEs Assemble@TheMax in Detroit

We enjoyed sliders, PBR, Jameson and the speakers. Very interesting material and exciting to think about all the potential we have in Detroit.
Up for next week - Foodie Crush
