Winterizing the Garden

Now that it is beginning to frost at night, we thought it would be a good time to take the garden down.  I removed the fencing and all of the plants.  This year we grew:

• Tomatoes
  
• Mini Bell Peppers
  
• Green Beans
  
• Cucumbers

Some of the tomatoes had ripened.

I used the ripe ones in a tortilla casserole for lunch.  The rest of the tomatoes….

Were not so ripe…

Hopefully they will ripen up indoors.  Also pulled out a few more cucumbers, bell peppers and green beans.

Now that all the gardening is done for the year, it is time to finish off our 2 dozen doughnuts and gallon of apple cider!
